Event Description:

Durango’s first 5K of the New Year!
1 Mile Fun Run - 10:00 a.m. 5K - 10:45 a.m.

The scenic race traverses along the Animas River Trail. The event starts and finishes at the Durango Community Recreation Center’s Amphitheater.

The race benefits Chris Aaland, who is currently recovering from a recent heart surgery. Chris is a father, husband and active community member. Chris works as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Communications at Fort Lewis College, writes a weekly column for the Durango Telegraph, and serves a DJ for KDUR.

Entry Fee: FREE (Suggested Donation: $10). Proceeds go directly to Chris & his family. FREE T-Shirt to first 200 participants!
Race Day Registration: 8:30 - 9:45 a.m.

Location Details: Event will start at the Durango Community Recreation Center Amphitheater. Their should be plenty of parking at the facility or the neighboring fairgrounds facility
