Before the Dinosaur roamed the surface of the Earth and before amphibians crawled out of the swamps, life was centered in and around the oceans; this was the age of the Invertebrates. Life- forms very unique to our history, known as the Paleozoic era, thrived in the oceans 300 million years ago. Most are now extinct and are on display in the original sediments they lived in. We will attempt to locate and identify some of these past creatures and discuss their demise on site at the McCoy fossil fields near the Colorado River. All age groups are welcome. Registration is required, cost is $50*.
